What did I see on my Leap Day run? Tulips! And yet more tulips!

For the last week there has been a tulip festival in the Chanakyapuri area of south Delhi.

Today I finally went for a look-see and a short run amongst the lovely displays – though to be honest we were a few days late. The flowers are a-l-m-o-s-t pass their prime.

“We”, by the way, is my running partner in crime, Ripu.

Since both of us were sick last week, and are both still nursing coughs, that explains why we were a little late to the tulip party 🙂

We ran and walked and talked and took gazillions of photos, under a wonderfully clear blue sky.

The simbal trees are coming into bloom, there were kites wheeling overhead, and bees buzzing around the roses.

All very lovely and very spring is sprung-ish.

8 easy slow km and lots of pretty photos.

Enjoy!

I LOVE the colour of these tulips (below)

And ditto the colour of those rose (below) though the photo doesn’t do it justice :

Imagine the song “Tiptoe through the tulips”. won’t you, for this video ?!
