“Who says I am late?”

“Who says I am late?”

And with those words, possibly the coolest granny in India answered a question as to why she had only started running late in life.

Meet Rambai, the medal-winning sprinter from a village in the northern state of Haryana, WHO JUST HAPPENS TO BE 105 YEARS OLD 🙂 🙂

The older I get, I obviously have way more empathy with fellow oldies, but this lady takes the cake.

Rambai has just won a clutch of medals for running 100m and 200m sprints and – beat this – has recently applied for a passport because she wants to win a medal for India overseas.

And she only started running last November.

Rambai’s story just keeps getting better and better, doesn’t it?

Her grand-daughter picks up the story:

“Earlier, nani used to avoid wearing sports shoes and wore normal ones. But now she has left her inhibitions behind. She gears up in sports shoes, tracksuits and other sportswear.”

What’s not to love?

What’s not to cheer?

What a rockstar 🙂

The fab lady is my total SHERO!

And our shero obviously has the last word:

“No one can stop me now. I am very happy. It is a wonderful feeling.”
