Why do you run? “Running stills my mind”

Today, Christmas Day, we are Q&A-ing with another cyber-running pal, Susan John.

Let me just say, while I think about it, that I can’t wait for some semblance of normality to return so that all my lovely cyber-friends become real-life friends – though to be fair Susan lives in south India 😛

But you get my drift…

Anyway, let’s chat with her, shall we?

Q) Why do you run?

A) Running gives me the joy of being myself. Running, like yoga, gives me that peace and stills my mind.

Q) When did you start running?

A) I have been running initially to lose weight and to keep my boarders occupied for the past 6-7 years. But for events – for the past 3 to 4 years.

Q) Evening /Morning runner?

A) I love my evening runs more than the morning runs, though these days, it depends on the weather.

Q) With or without music?

A) Both.

Here are few of my favourites: Titanium, Back to beginning,  Mission impossible theme song, Thor Ragnorok, Skillet songs, Running by Assasin’s Creed, Legends never die, etc

Q) Next running goal?

A) Fingers crossed,  “La Ultra”. It all depends on the school exams and work schedules, which is around that time. Please keep me in your prayers.

One thing I love in these Q&As is the variety of answers to my first question. Running clearly means so much to people, and affects and influences them in so many ways. “Running…stills my mind” is such a lovely concept.

And Susan, that is a cracking list of songs you’ve shared. So I’m going to spin them off into a separate blog post about running music! Tomorrow.

For now, my cyber-pal, enjoy Christmas and #keeprunning #keepinspiring 🙂
