My absolute SHERO

My absolute SHERO

This is 100% the story I need today.

It’s a fab, inspiring story any day, but especially on a day like today – a day when I feel grumpy and headache-y because the pollution in Delhi (where I live) is SO bad that:

(a) there is no question of running outdoors and

(b) I have a low grade headache & itchy, scratchy eyes inside my home despite air purifiers working round the clock.

So this story that I’m going to share with you, is exactly what I need to see and hear.

Meet the AMAZING 105 year old runner taking part in the US masters tomorrow.

Julia Hawkins, my shero šŸ™‚ šŸ™‚

Ms Hawkins started running when she turned 100! I mean how FAB is that?!

I’ve been following this amazing lady’s career for the past 2 or 3 years, obviously completely in awe of her, and then – guess what? She lost her title a few months ago to a 100 year old whippersnapper.

These are the gals I hope to emulate.

I watched an interview with Ms Hawkins who, talking about her race tomorrow, said she didn’t want to let her children down šŸ™‚

GO GO GO, you amazing women.

And here’s hoping some of their aura will rub off on this grumpy ol’ gal šŸ˜›

Actually this ol’ gal will be a WHOLE lot less grumpy when the Delhi pollution eases and she can head out and run off the crazy šŸ˜›

    1. Sunil Nehru I love your trust in me, my friend. I seem to remember we once discussed how we should become the oldest people ever to climb Everest, but we were worried as to how to time it
