Today we re-join Katha who is on a UK holiday with her husband Dave – remember she told us yesterday that they should’ve been in Vietnam at the moment?
But 2020 being what it is, Katha & Dave are exploring the UK instead, and today’s instalment of their non-Vietnam holiday finds them in Bath.
And now let me hand you over to our storyteller-in-chief 🙂
More history during our covid holiday.
This time in Bath, the only city in its entirety in the UK to be declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a city I have been wanting to visit for a long time.
And the wait has been worth it.
After spending the entire day exploring the city, including spending over 3 hours in the fantastically restored Roman Baths complex and doing the Georgian Town House walk, during my evening run, I traced my way back along the river to the iconic landmarks of this famous spa city.”
I tell ya – you live & you learn. Katha, I had NO idea about Bath’s World Heritage status in the UK.
No idea at all.
So thanks for that!
Not to digress, but as a proud Yorkshire lass, I can’t help wondering why York isn’t up there with Bath…
Anyway, back to Bath 🙂
I’d remembered it as a beautiful city, even though I haven’t been there in years. Also I seem to remember it rained when we were there, so my memories are certainly more muted than the lovely golden light you clearly had 🙂

Jane Binstead should have made it clearer in the blog, Bath is apparently the only city in the UK to be a designated World Heritage Site in its entirety. Don’t take my word for it though, I am neither British, nor from the UK—I got my info from the visit Bath website.
