What did you see on your run today? #372 comes from Nagpur

The charismatic Chetan Singh Gill, one of the Delhi running world’s most popular figures, is not only a great photographer, but also a runner himself.

He is coming back from a knee injury, and so it’s great to see that he’s running again, and sharing his travels.

Currently Chetan is in Nagpur, exploring, running, & eating 🙂

In his own words :

“Best way to explore any city is by walking in its narrow lanes but what to do when you just have one day – you RUN…. Dharampeth to Nagpur Chaupati (Futala lake) for sugar dipped boiled jujube”

Indian jujube is the “ber” fruit, right?

Chetan, I’m not familiar with Nagpur, but these 2 photos (below) seem to imply that the city is pretty clean & litter-free.

Is that indeed the case?

Despite food stalls, where people often chuck containers & wrappers, it all looks impressively clean:

Thanks for sharing these, my friend, and take it easy, as you recover & get back to full fitness.

  • Thanks for the warm introduction.
Yeah, they are the ber fruits.
Nagpur, yes it is a clean city and probably because people have their roots linked to this city. They belong here and take it as their home.
This cleanliness can be seen throughout the city. However, the Futala lake needs a helping hand.
Thanks for putting my experience on your space.

  • Thanks Christine Pemberton for the kind words. I’m feeling better. Planning a LSD on Sunday in Mumbai.
